TABLYR

TABLYR End User License Agreement

Plain-language terms from FrameMaker Digital, LLC ("we", "us"). Last updated: 18 October 2026.

1. License. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use TABLYR on computers you own or control, to create and publish learning content. Pre-release ("beta") builds are licensed for evaluation and may stop working, change or be withdrawn at any time.

2. Your content. Courses, media and packages you create with TABLYR are yours. We claim no rights in them and never receive a copy of them. You may distribute the player files TABLYR places in your published courses, as part of those courses, to your learners, clients and learning management systems. You may not distribute the player files on their own, or use them to run content that was not published from TABLYR.

3. Restrictions. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute TABLYR itself, remove its notices, or reverse engineer it, except where the law or the licence of an open-source component (section 6) allows.

4. Third-party services. Optional features send text or audio to providers you choose and configure with your own keys (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Google, Microsoft Azure), and AI apps you connect to TABLYR on your computer (for example Claude Desktop) can read and change the open course. Their terms and privacy policies govern that data. TABLYR stores your keys in your operating system's keychain and does not transmit them anywhere except to the provider you selected.

5. Privacy. Our privacy policy at tablyr.com/privacy and terms of sale at tablyr.com/terms apply. TABLYR sends no usage data. Problem reports are prepared on your computer and sent only if you choose to email them; they contain the app version, your operating system, which controls you used last and the error details, never course content, project or slide titles, or object names.

6. Open-source components. TABLYR includes open-source software under its own licences, among them Electron and Chromium (MIT and the Chromium licences), CodeMirror, electron-updater, fflate and uiohook-napi (MIT), the LAME MP3 encoder (lamejs) and libheif (libheif-js) (GNU LGPL 3.0), IBM Plex fonts (SIL Open Font License 1.1) and Google Material Symbols (Apache 2.0). Their licences are listed in Help → Licenses and privacy, and the full texts are in the third-party-notices.txt file installed with TABLYR. Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under those licences.

7. No warranty. TABLYR is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits or any indirect or consequential damages arising from its use. Keep backups of your project folders.

8. Termination. This license ends if you breach it. You may end it at any time by deleting TABLYR.

9. Governing law and disputes. The laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about TABLYR or this agreement will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Texas, except that either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court. Consumers keep the protections of the law where they live.
