TABLYR
TABLYR Terms of Sale and Service
Plain-language terms from FrameMaker Digital, LLC ("we", "us"). The software itself is licensed under the End User License Agreement shown at installation, in Help → Licenses and privacy and at tablyr.com/eula; these terms cover buying and keeping a subscription.
Last updated: 18 October 2026
1. What you are buying
TABLYR is sold as a subscription: monthly or yearly, billed in advance through Polar (Polar Software Inc.), our merchant of record. A subscription gives one person a licence key that activates TABLYR on up to two computers at a time. It includes all updates released while the subscription is active. Courses you publish keep working after a subscription ends; only the authoring app stops.
1a. Who sells it
Polar Software Inc. ("Polar") sells TABLYR subscriptions as our reseller and merchant of record. Polar takes the payment, collects and pays any sales tax or VAT, issues invoices and receipts, and handles payment disputes and refund requests under its own buyer terms, which you accept at checkout and which take precedence over these terms on payment matters. These terms cover your licence and your use of TABLYR, which we provide.
2. Account and licence key
Polar creates your account at checkout and emails your licence key; the key is also in your Polar customer portal. Keep the key private. You may deactivate a computer in the app or in the portal to free a slot. Sharing one key across a team is not permitted; each author needs a subscription.
3. Price, renewal and changes
The price is shown at checkout in US dollars, plus any tax Polar is required to collect. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until cancelled. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price increase takes effect on your renewal, and you may cancel before then.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in the Polar customer portal (the link is in the app under Help → Licence…). Cancelling stops future renewals; the subscription stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not charge a cancellation fee.
5. Free trial, then no refunds
Both plans start with a 14-day free trial: you enter a payment method at checkout and receive your licence key at once, and nothing is charged if you cancel in the customer portal before the trial ends. After the trial the first month or year is charged. Subscription payments, once charged, are not refunded: cancelling stops the next renewal and your subscription runs to the end of the month or year you have paid for; the licence dialog in the app shows that date. Cancel before the renewal date if you do not wish to continue. Where consumer law gives you rights that cannot be excluded (for example a statutory withdrawal period in the EU or UK), those rights apply. Refund requests go to Polar (section 1a).
5a. Changing plans
You can move from monthly to yearly at any time in the customer portal. The unused part of the current month is credited against the yearly price on a pro-rata basis. Moving from yearly to monthly takes effect at the end of the yearly period.
6. Beta and free licences
Beta keys and free licences we grant are provided for evaluation, expire on the date shown, and carry no promise of continued access or of any particular feature. They may be withdrawn if misused.
7. Acceptable use
You may use TABLYR to create and publish learning content for yourself, your employer or your clients. You may not resell, rent or share the software or keys, use it to build content that is unlawful, or try to defeat licence checks.
8. Third-party services
AI, voice and speech features use accounts and keys you hold with third parties (Anthropic, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Google, Microsoft Azure). Their fees, terms and availability are theirs, not ours. Polar's terms govern payment processing.
9. Support and updates
Support is by email at support@tablyr.com during business hours, United States. Updates are delivered through the app; we may add, change or retire features. We aim to keep published courses compatible, and we will not remove your ability to open a project created in an earlier version without a migration path.
10. Availability
TABLYR is installed on your computer and does not depend on our servers to run, apart from the periodic licence check, which tolerates 14 days offline. We do not promise that licence, update or support services will be uninterrupted.
11. Warranty and liability
TABLYR is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to TABLYR or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Termination
We may end a subscription for breach of these terms or the EULA, with a refund of the unused period unless the breach was serious. You may end it by cancelling.
13. Trademarks
TABLYR and the TABLYR logo are trademarks of FrameMaker Digital, LLC. Other product names are the trademarks of their owners. TABLYR is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any other authoring-tool maker.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We will try to resolve any dispute informally first; write to support@tablyr.com. If that does not work, the dispute will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Texas, except that either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court. Consumers keep the protections of the law where they live.
15. Changes to these terms
We will post changes here with a new date and email subscribers about material changes at least 30 days before they apply to renewals.
